1 Glassware Garrison, Propeller, Bridge, Boxing Rock, Hell Bay, Uncle Leo's, Big Spruce, Sea Level, Rare Bird, Picaroons, Pumphouse, Shiretown and PEI Brewing all have branded glasses or steins. It is a simple but great way to drink you favorite beer. Their favorite brewery not nearby well Home Hardware has a set of 6 craft beer glasses so they have the correct glass for every brew they get.
2 Accessories Several of the breweries have bottle openers, fridge magnets, stickers, coasters, reusable bottle and growler totes and a recent trip to Garrison even had beer soap and beer label note pads. A trip to the brewery will reveal more than a few ideas.
3 Magazine Subscription There a few magazines that are great read on the latest news on beer and and general information. A couple of good ones are TAPS and The Pub Magazine 4 Beer fest tickets There are several great beer festivals in our area and three are currently selling tickets right now for next spring, The Fredericton Beer Fest , Saint John Beer Fest and The Great Canadian Beer Expo. They all make great stocking stuffers.
5 Beer books There are many books on the subject from home brewing, beers from around the world and beer cookbooks. A new cookbook that came out in November is Canadian Craft Beer Cookbook that has made many gift lists.
6 Home Brew Kit There are a couple of spots in Halifax area that sell home brew gear that will also ship. Noble Grape has several locations in NS and one in Fredericton has lots of expertise and Everwood Avenue Brew Shop just got a new one gallon starter kits.
7 Gift baskets and sets A few of the breweries are offering prepackaged items. Uncle Leo's has a beer tote with a 650 ml bottle of beer of your choice and and a beer glass for $15.00. Big Spruce, Propeller, Big Spruce and Boxing Rock all have nice prepared baskets for purchase. Picaroons has a gift set with a couple of bottles of Winter Warmer and a glass and Pumphouse has a special bottle of their premium pilsner.
8 Food Big Spruce has a lot of snack offerings available and Rare Bird has cheese. Many of the awesome brewpubs also offer gift cards, as we all know beer lovers are also food lovers.
9 Apparel What is more Canadian than a toque. even one of the Maritimes breweries, Hammond River Brewing, has them. In fact most breweries has t-shirts hats and other gear to show support for your favorite craft beer.
