Brasseux d'la Côte Opens New Facility

(Tracadie, NB) - L'Acadie Nouvelle reports Brasseux d'la Côte opened it new facility. The one million dollar project required the support of 43 investors from the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick, as well as loans and grants. For now, three beers are brewed and customers may purchase growlers for filling. The brewery is hoping to have cans available before Christmas to be sold on-site and at ANBL stores.
There is no plans to have a tap room at the brewery, only retail sales with a plan for rapid expansion growing from its current five fermenters to 15 by the end of next year producing 200,000 liters of beer by 2018. The project in Tracadie began about five years ago after the establishment of a beer cooperative in the area.

Brasseux d'la Côte Brews First Batch in New Facility

(Tracadie,NB) - Brasseux d'la Côte announced they have brewed their inaugral brew at their new facility. The new brewery is at 3216 Rue Principale in Tracadie New Brunswick. The beer chosen was their La Classique 28 lager, the beer is an homage to local hockey player Luc Bourdon who was number 28 on the Vancouver Canucks and died tragically at 21 years old in an accident.

Brasseux d'la Côte to open in the Acadian Peninsula

(Tracadie, NB) - Brasseux d'la Côte is set to open as soon as their sales licence is issued in the northern New Brunswick town of Tracadie. The brewer is Jason Haché and is currently working on a 100 litre system until their 10 BBL system arrives this fall. 
Their first beer is "La Classique 28", an American light lager that comes in at 4.5% ABV. The beer is an homage to local hockey player Luc Bourdon who was number 28 on the Vancouver Canucks and died tragically at 21 years old in an accident. In his memory la fondation du défunt hockeyeur de Shippagan was set up to allow youth to play hockey in the area that that otherwise couldn't afford it. Brasseux d'la Côte in true community spirit will be donating some of the proceeds from sales to the organization.
The brewery is part of Association Coopérative Microbrasserie that will give members benefits benefits like early access and use of the pilot system but everyone will be able to buy the beer. 
Long term plans include packaging, tap room and engaging and helping the community. Their next beers will be "La Belle Amenchure" an Americam Wheat (5% ABV) and Lemon Head Radler that is a fun twist on Picaroons Melonhead.
