Unfiltered Brewing Releases Mise En Garde Barley Wine
(Halifax, NS) - Unfiltered Brewing announced that its newest release, Mise En Garde, comes out this Friday, June 22nd. The barley wine is oak-aged and was fermented on both American and Belgian yeasts and rings in at 10.8% ABV. Mise En Garde, which means warning, will be available in vintage-dated 500 ml bottles, draught, kegs, pints, and growlers at the brewery and next door at Charm School.

Garrison Brewing releases The Cellar Series
First was the Ol’ Fog Burner Barley Wine (11.5 ABV & 60 IBUs). An exceptionally mellow and complex ale, this British Barley wine is as smooth as it is chewy and rich with excellent balance. Next out of the gate was Grand Baltic Porter (9.5% ABV & 30 IBUs). Smooth complex lager brewed coffee-black with blackstrap molasses and whole dates. A rich caramel and liquorice sweetness is balanced by specialty German hops.
Garrison's final release today was To Prussia With Love (10% ABV & 35 IBUs) is described as intensely dark and flavourful, this regal brew combines strong Baltic Porter with Barrel Aged Imperial ESB for a rich complexity.
All the beers are available at the brewery now, only Ol' Fog Burner will go to private stores and possibly New Brunswick.

Distillerie Fils du Roy releases North Shore Regiment Barley Wine
(Petit-Paquetville, NB) Just in time for Rememberance Day Distillerie Fils Du Roy
released a new Barley Wine called The North Shore NB Regiment. It is an homage to an Infantry Battalion based in Northern New Brunswick that can trace its origins back to 1870.
The brewery describes the ale as "A showcase of malty richness and complex, intense flavors. Chewy and rich in body, with warming alcohol and a pleasant fruity or hoppy interest. When aged, it can take on port-like flavors. A wintertime sipper." It clocks it at 12 % ABV and 45 IBUs.
It is currently available at select ANBL in the Moncton Area and northeast New Brunswick as well as the brewery
