Roof Hound Brewing Releases Vandal Hound Lemon Meringue Doughnut IPA

(Hillgrove, NS) - Roof Hound Brewing has never shied away for experimental beers especially when it comes to adding unique flavours into ales. This week they release Vandal Hound Lemon Meringue Doughnut IPA. The  6% ABV beer comes from the mad minds of Roof Hound Brewing and Vandal Doughnuts in Halifax. Described as "It’s sour, it’s sweet, it’s hoppy", it was brewed with real vandal doughnuts, lactose, toasted sugar, house made lemon pie filling and dry hopped with Lemon Drop hops.
You can try the new creation at on July 5th from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Stubborn Goat Beer Garden on the Halifax Waterfront with Free doughnuts with the first 100 pints or at also on the 5th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at WestSide Beer Wine Spirits in Clayton Park for samples, fills and bottles. There is also a Launch of the beer at Roof Hound on July 6th from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM with music from David Chamberland.
It is a very limited release so grab some fast.

Trailway Brewing Releasing Dank Williams IPA

(Fredericton, NB) - Trailway Brewing says this Friday, November 24th, at noon, Dank Williams IPA. Trailway says it is the dankest of all dank beers, named after the up-and-coming, mysterious but aromatic country music star. They selected some of their favorite dank but also fruity/spicy hops.

Trailway Brewing Releases Binary IPA

(Fredericton, NB) - It seems with Trailway Brewing there is a new release every week and this week is no exception. They released their latest IPA, Binary, brewed with 100% Golden Promise malt and 100% El Dorado hops. Trailway says it has "Incredible juice, candied-fruit character with aromatics that would rival anything produced under this roof, honestly". 
The 6% ABV ale has cans available at the brewery only and kegs will see some distribution to your local watering holes.

Trailway Brewing Releases 2 Jackets IPA

(Fredericton, NB) - Trailway Brewing debuted 2 Jackets American IPA today. This IPA features a bunch of their all time favorite hops - Centennial, Mosaic, Amarillo and Citra. They say "Some old school flavours, mixed with tons of citrus, intense juiciness and some spice". Available in cans and on tap, only at the brewery in Fredericton at noon ttoday. They 7% ABV beer will run $17/4pack (or $4.50/can).

Trailway Brewing releases Keejay Session IPA

(Fredericton, NB) - Trailway Brewing released Keejay Session IPA this week. The unique brew is generously hopped with Mosaic, Idaho7 and cashmere and then hit with a healthy dose of lactose resulting in an extreme tropical juice bomb. Trailway describes Keejay as "Super aromatic while the lactose provides a pillowy, creamy, juice-like body". They kept this one at a very sessionable 4% ABV and say if you liked Green Island you'll love this one. On sale now at the brewery in Fredericton North.

RockBottom Brewpub releases The Aristocrats Brett IPA

(Halifax, NS) - RockBottom Brewpub just tapped a new beer. "The Aristocrats" Brett IPA is a 7% ABV and 60 IBU 100% Brettanomyces fermented India Pale Ale. The beer has yeast derived flavours of pineapple, pear, wet hay, and over ripe berry meld with new world hop nuances of tropical fruit, hard candy, and citrus. Finishing with an understated Brett Funk.
New brewer Ian Kean has taken over as Jake Saunders is now at Nine Locks full time.

Trailway Brewing releases Seeing Enigma IPA

(Fredericton, NB) - Trailway Brewing released another installment in their "seeing" series - Seeing Enigma. Enigma is a brand new hop variety from Australia that is getting a ton of well-deserved attention and hype. Trailway says there are so many complex aromas and flavours coming from this brew.
Seeing Enigma checks in at 6% ABV and is available in cans or on tap at the brewery.

Big Spruce releases new beer to help Ocean Tracking Network

(Nyanza & Halifax NS) - Big Spruce Brewing announced they brewed a new seasonal beer, one they have been 'conspiring' for some time with their new friends at Ocean Tracking Network. Tag! You're It! will be a light bodied, super juicy, late addition 6.5% ABV IPA that features Mosaic and Citra hops.
Big Spruce are donating $0.50 of every can sold towards research activities, both by OTN (including tagging and tracking northwest Atlantic sharks), and other research programs or projects globally that address critical aspects of conservation, ocean stewardship or public awareness.
Expected release date is late July or early August.

August 4th 2016 is IPA Day

Since 2011 the first Thursday of August has been declared IPA Day. Initially a social media driven celebration it has evolved into a major day on the beer calendar around the world. The India Pale Ale is a diverse style with many different interpretations and variations around the globe and is worthy of a style that unites craft brewing. 
IPA Day is today and there are several great IPAs in our region and Unfiltered Brewing is releasing a special DIPA in honour of the day.

Garrison Brewing releases new IPA

(Halifax, NS) - Garrison Brewing released Hoppy Buoy, a newly re-branded and re-tooled IPA that is taking the previous IPA’s place in stores. It is 6.5% ABV and 50 IBU with loads of aromatic and bittering hops delivering citrusy and tropical fruit aromas, ruby red grapefruit flavour and a balanced malt backbone.
On sale now throughout Nova Scotia.
