Roof Hound Brewing Releases Vandal Hound Lemon Meringue Doughnut IPA

(Hillgrove, NS) - Roof Hound Brewing has never shied away for experimental beers especially when it comes to adding unique flavours into ales. This week they release Vandal Hound Lemon Meringue Doughnut IPA. The  6% ABV beer comes from the mad minds of Roof Hound Brewing and Vandal Doughnuts in Halifax. Described as "It’s sour, it’s sweet, it’s hoppy", it was brewed with real vandal doughnuts, lactose, toasted sugar, house made lemon pie filling and dry hopped with Lemon Drop hops.
You can try the new creation at on July 5th from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Stubborn Goat Beer Garden on the Halifax Waterfront with Free doughnuts with the first 100 pints or at also on the 5th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at WestSide Beer Wine Spirits in Clayton Park for samples, fills and bottles. There is also a Launch of the beer at Roof Hound on July 6th from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM with music from David Chamberland.
It is a very limited release so grab some fast. 

Roof Hound Brewing Introduces Dooflicker Tropical Brown Kettle Sour.

(Hillgrove, NS) - Roof Hound Brewing introduced Dooflicker Tropical Brown Kettle Sour. Brewer Les Barr says it is "Mashed with shredded coconut, and kettle soured with house made coconut milk yogurt cultured with locally sourced 100 year old bacteria and fermented with five strains of yeast". It is available now in draft and early December in bottles. 

Roof Hound Brewing Releases Beer in "Stubbies"

(Digby, NS) - Roof Hound Brewing released select beers in bottles this week. On the heels of an expansion three beers hit retro 500 ml "stubbies" this week at the brewery and private liquor stores in the Halifax area. Available is Average Joe Pale Ale , Big Stink IPA and Sweet Little SIPA. 

Roof Hound Releases Hoppy Seconds Pale Ale

(Digby, NS) - Roof Hound Brewing released an experimental Pale Ale called Hoppy Seconds. The beer earned the moniker because Roof Hound reused the massive amounts of dry hops used in their Big Stink IPA. Les Barr says Hoppy Seconds is easier drinking than the Big Stink but still has that citrus and savoury flavour and creamy mouth feel. Check it out the 6% ABV beer now at the brewery and select taps.

Roof Hound and Tatamagouche Brewing release Chocolate Sauced Imperial Chocolate Stout

(Hillgrove, NS) - Roof  Hound Brewing announced a release party for their collaboration brew with Tatamagouche Brewing. Chocolate Sauced is 9% ABV Imperial Chocolate Stout with four types of chocolate. Les Barr says "Multiple layers of deep dark chocolate flavours". The event is on February 11th. with beer pours at 9 and music starts at 10. 

Roof Hound Brewing opens in Nova Scotia

 (Hillgrove, NS) - Roof Hound Brewing will be opening Thursday August 4th from 11:00 AM until Midnight. It will be open these hours for the short term at least and may change. The new brewery at 2580 Ridge Road in Hillgrove near Digby Nova Scotia will also have a tap room and restaurant. 
Owner Les Barr who was a contestant on the latest season of MasterChef Canada is bringing his take on craft beer and food to the area. A look at Roof Hound's Instagram page will show their food exceeds standard standard pub fare and is closer to edible art. 
Roof Hound is the second brewery to land in the area following Lazy Bear Brewing in recent months.
