Boxing Rock Brewing Opens New Taproom in Shelburne

(Shelburne, NS) - Boxing Rock Brewing opens its newest location today at 218 Water Street in Shelburne. The original location on Ohio Road will remain dedicated to production and packaging and the Test Kitchen in Halifax will remain brewing small batch projects. 
The new taproom will have about 70 seats inside and another 30 on the patio. The 10 taps at the bar will have one cider and one guest tap in addition to their own line up. 
Production onsite will be dedicated to expanding Boxing Rock's barrel program as well as their product line. Kitchen to open later this fall but until then food provided by the Finest Kind mobile kitchen, who have been at the Ohio Road brewery since 2017. The new tap room will also have a space for live music.

Annapolis Brewing Opens Its Taproom

(Annapolis Royal, NS) - Annapolis Brewing who started brewing late last year successfully opened their taproom last Friday at 302 St George Street Annapolis Royal. Open for growler fills and pints of their own beer and will have 20 taps for guest beer, ciders and will have Nova 7 on tap. The establishment will have 50 seats and although they don’t have food available they encourage people to bring food along with them. The hours of operation are Monday to Thursday Noon to 8:00 PM, Friday Noon to 10:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. 

Good Robot Brewing Taproom Opens

After seven months of operating Good Robot Brewing  are opening a taproom Friday December 18th at 12:00 PM next to the brewery at 2736 Robie Street. The taproom will be open every day of the week except Mondays. There are 12 taps behind the bar that will have their own beer, guest brews, experimental and other breweries. The food options will be from a variety of suppliers and will not be the typical pub fare. 

The room itself is two levels that is open and light. Around the bar was comfy two person chairs with many other tables.The upstairs area I found quiet and cozy.

Coming in the future there will be casks and events until probably late winter but until then enjoy the beer.

The taps will change over time but on opening there will be the available flagship beers as well as:

- Unfiltered 12 Years to Zion DIPA

Unfiltered Brewing Opens Taproom

(Halifax, NS) - Unfiltered Brewing opened its awaited saloon this past week end. It is called Charm School and is next to the brewery at 6041 North Street. The new pub has eight beers on tap from brewmaster Greg Nash and a small menu of tasty items. There will always have all the beers currently on at the store in the pub as well as a few treats now and look for the food menu to expand soon. Charm School is open Tuesday through Sunday from  4 PM to midnight.
